DAY 1 – ARRIVAL IN ROME AND PRIVATE TRANSFER FROM FIUMICINO AIRPORT TO YOUR HOTEL LOCATED IN ROME CENTER.

Later, enjoy a private Rome by night tour your English-speaking driving escort. A drive through Rome at night to enjoy the beauty of the lovely monuments enhanced by the floodlights: Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona, Piazza Venezia, Forum, Colosseum, Circus Maximus.

DAY 2 - After breakfast, your driver will pickup you up to be transferred to the railway station, to catch your high-speed train to Naples. Once in Naples, departure to Sorrento with a special stop along the way: Pompei.Enjoy a 2 hrs private guide of Archeological excavations and listen to the tales of the Vusuvius eruptions and ancient Romans habits. After a quick stop for lunch, departure and continuation to Sorrento.
 

The rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight in Sorrento

 

Inclusions Day 2: private transfer Rome hotel/Rome station; 1st class tickets High-Speed train Rome to Naples; Private transfer form Naples station to Sorrento with 2 hrs stop in Pompei; 2 hrs private guide in Pompei to be met on spot; Pompei ruins entrance fees; lunch in Pompei.

 

DAY 3 - This is the day of an authentic Sorrentine countryside experience!
Reach the Villa, located on the hills of Sorrento and surrounded by roses, orange and lemon trees and a luxuriant Mediterranean vegetation. Upon arrival at Villa, Annamaria, the owner, will welcome you with an aperitif during which she will lead you through the vegetables garden to pick the necessary ingredients for the dishes to be prepared. The visit continues to the olive trees area of the garden and the guests will be explained the method of extra virgin olive oil making. Once back at the villa, start cooking with Annamaria and her staff, preparing typical local dishes made with the freshest ingredients, such as fresh pasta (ravioli, or cannelloni, lasagna, fettuccine, scialatielli), Neapolitan pizza, Caprese lemon cake, ricotta and pear pie).
Lunch will be served on the Patio in front of the Villa and it will be accompanied by house wine.


Later in the afternoon, enjoy the magic with our Sunset Prosecco Boat tour.
While gently cruising, your skipper will be delighted to offer you a bottle of Italian Prosecco glass and some delicious local delicacies. You will have one of the most visually beautiful evenings of your life as you watch the sun slowly dip into the sea. Pink, orange, purple, red, all lazily blending and mixing just as the first stars begin to wink and sparkle in the darkening sky.

 

Dinner at leisure in Sorrento and overnight in hotel.
 

Inclusions Day 3: Round trip transfer from Sorrento hotel / countryside villa / hotel; Shared cooking class at Annamaria’s country house followed by lunch; Sunset Prosecco boat tour half day from Sorrento; private round-trip transfer Sorrento hotel / pier / hotel.

 

DAY 4 - Today your agenda is free of plans, so that you can feel free to decide what to do. You can decide for example to get a private tour of Capri island, or visit the Amalfi Coast with our guides. 


As alternative, you can also take the chance to relax in Sorrento, strolling in little streets of the city center, taste a delicious gelato watching the sunset, or have some shopping.

DAY 5 - Check-out from your hotel in Sorrento and departure for Matera.
Once arrived, free time to relax and lunch. In the afternoon, discover the town with a private walking tour of this unique site, famous for its “sassi”, caves built directly into the rocky hill, inhabited by the locals for centuries. UNESCO declared the Sassi a World Heritage Site. This area was the set for Mel Gibson’s film “The Passion of Christ”.
Dinner and overnight in Matera.

Inclusions Day 5: private transfer from Sorrento to Matera; Private English speaking local guide for 2 hrs; entrance fees to a cave dwelling; entrance fees to a historical church.

 

DAY 6 - After breakfast, leave your hotel in Matera and meet your driver to be transferred in Lecce.
 

Today you will have the possibility to experience flavors and traditions of Salento area. The activity starts with a guided visit to the local market with chef Gianna, who will show you how to choose fresh seasonal ingredients for the menu. On the way back to the cooking school, you will stop at a local cafeteria to taste a “Leccese Coffee”. Once at the school, you will start preparing the four recipes, which will be tasted at the end of the lesson and accompanied by three selected wines from the region.
 

The rest of the day is at leisure in this wonderful city, known as the Baroque masterpiece of southern Italy.
 

Overnight in Lecce.

 

Inclusions Day 6: Private transfer from Matera to Lecce; Market tour and hands-on cooking class followed by lunch with wine.

 

DAY 7 - This morning meet your guide in your hotel lobby for a walking tour through this beautiful city, also called the Florence of the South for the abundance of monuments and historical buildings. Thanks to the presence of limestone which is soft and easy to work, Lecce soon became the center of the ornate architecture known as the “barocco leccese”.


After the tour, meet your driver to be transferred to Fasano and enjoy a welcome cocktail at your Masseria.
 

In the evening take part to a unique pasta making experience and have dinner with the pasta you will prepare!
 

Overnight in Fasano.

 

Inclusions Day 7: Private English-speaking guide 3 hrs; private transfer from Lecce to Fasano; welcome cocktail at Masseria Montenapoleone; pasta making lesson and dinner.

 

DAY 8 - A day tour discovering the Puglia region, that starts with the visit of Martina Franca. This lovely town of about 50.000 inhabitants is known for its baroque style architecture. The name of the town is tied to the local devotion to St Martin and to the fact that Philip I of the Anjou family declared the town exempt from taxation, hence “franca”.


After the walking tour of Martina Franca, continuation onto Cisternino. This quaint village is the classic example of “spontaneous architecture,” designed not by architects following a preestablished plan, but rather by human relations to be fit together. Whitewashed houses and narrow streets, tiny courtyards and outside stairs, arches and flower-filled balconies complete the scenery the visitor will enjoy. Some of the sights of the town are: the Norman-Swabian tower, the Church of San Nicola, the Bishop’s Palace, the Governor’s Palace, the Pepe and Cenci families Palace and the small Church of Santa Lucia. Cisternino is well known for its “barbequeing butchers”. Your guide will choose the most suitable butcher-shop where you can choose and grill your own meat to have lunch.
 

The tour will continue onto Locorotondo where you will visit the Pastini Wine Farm and its vineyards and wine cellars. Proceed to their nearby winery for a tasting of their wines accompanied by local snacks.
 

Coming back in hotel, dinner and overnight staying.

 

Inclusions Day 8: Private vehicle with driver 7 hrs; private English-speaking guide 7 hrs; barbecue and lunch with mineral water and wine; vineyard visit and wine tasting

 

DAY 9 - After breakfast, meet your driver to reach Alberobello, for a private half day tour of this picturesque destination.
 

The town has been made a UNESCO World Heritage site for its unusual districts of trulli, the characteristic white-washed conical-roofed houses of the area.
Your tour will also include an olive oil tasting, one of the typical products of the region.
Afternoon at leisure followed by a farewell dinner based on Puglia cuisine specialties.

 

Overnight in Fasano.

DAY 10 - After breakfast, checkout from the hotel and departure for Bari airport to catch your flight to come back home. Arrivederci Italia!
