Day 1 – After arrival at Bari/Brindisi Airport, collect your luggage and then proceed to meet your private transfer. You will be whisked along the Adriatic coast to the Itria Valley, in the heart of Puglia, with charming villages, historic towns, and stunning views. After appx. 45 minutes, you will arrive at your traditional Masseria, a typical country house, in the area of Ostuni. The rest of the day is at leisure, giving you time to explore Ostuni, with its strong defensive walls and white-washed houses . Your rental car will be waiting for you at the Masseria. Lunch and dinner on your own.
Overnight: At the traditional Masseria, in the area of Ostuni.
Inclusions day 1: Private transfer from Bari/Brindisi airport to your Masseria, over night accommodation in a traditional Masseria.
Day 2 – After breakfast , proceed to meet your expert guide for a guided half day tour of Alberobello, the birthplace of the Trulli houses, the cone-shaped dry-stone buildings unique to Puglia. At the end of the guided tour, you will be welcomed in an authentic and warm Italian farmhouse, for a Burrata tasting, a delicious cheese made by mozzarella and cream. After the tasting, return to your Masseria for a rest before dinner. Tonight, you will enjoy dinner at Masseria Torre Coccaro, which is a true Puglian gastronomic experience in a charming, authentic environment.
Overnight: At the traditional Masseria, in the area of Ostuni.
Inclusions day 2: Breakfast, car rental, overnight accommodation in a traditional Masseria, guided half day tour of Alberobello. Burrata tasting. 3 course dinner (beverages are not included).
Day 3 – Today you have the day at leisure, to enjoy Puglia on your own. You may want to visit Locorotondo, one of the prettiest and most characteristic towns in “Valle D’Itria, with some of the best Apulian white wines of the region , produced here. After a stroll in the dazzling white streets of the old town, you could visit a local winery, its vineyards and enjoy its wines paired with local specialities. If you are interested in an EVO (Extra Virgin Oil) tasting, that can also be arranged (extra charge).

Inclusions day 3: Breakfast, car rental, overnight accommodation in a traditional Masseria.
Day 4 - After breakfast, check out of the Masseira and take a leisurely drive to Lecce. Lecce is often called “The Florence of the South”, because of the rich Baroque architectural monuments in the city. Spend the early morning exploring Lecce and then meet your guide for a walking tour of Lecce. Your local guide and food expert will take you for a leisurely stroll of Lecce old town , between local delights and baroque extravaganza on a friendly walk, designed to be informative and fun. The tour combines an overview of Lecce history, main monuments and point of interest with several food and wine tasting for a complete introduction to Lecce, its products and local delight. You will also enjoy an aperitivo behind the doors of private noble palaces, as well as many tips for independent dining and further exploration. Enjoy lunch in the old town of Lecce (at your own cost), before continuing to Matino, in the Salento region, your next stop in Puglia. Check in to your luxury guest house in Matino. The rest of the day is free and you can explore the small town of Matino at your own pace or visit the beaches nearby, some of the nicest beaches in Puglia.
Overnight day 4: Luxury guest house, Matino
Inclusions day 4: Breakfast, car rental, accommodation at the guest house in Matino, guided tour of Lecce, food tastings during the tour and one aperitivo.
Day 5 – This is a day of leisure and you could explore the great beaches nearby, where you can relax, swim and admire the Adriatic rocky coast or Ionian sandy beaches. You may want to visit the local restaurant overlooking the sea, which offers an impressive selection of fresh fish and sea food. After spending time at the sea, on your return to Matino, perhaps make a stop in the town of Galatina, the Baroque cousin of Lecce and a hidden gem of Puglia. The city is famous for its wonderful Basilica church “Saint Catherine of Alexandria”, renowned for the beauty of its frescos. After visiting the church, stroll through the charming narrow streets of the city centre. Galatina is also almost the only place where the ritual tarantismi (Spider Music) is still practised. If you are lucky enough to be visiting on the feast day of St. Peter and St. Paul in the end of June, tarantismi is performed at the church. Dinner tonight will be at the nearby Ristorante Foscolo in Matino, a place where elegance and hospitality coexist in the simplicity of a passion: beauty and well-being.
If you want to explore the waters of the Adriatic, a private sailing day excursion with a gastronomic onboard picnic can be arranged for an additional charge.
Overnight day 5: Luxury guest house, Matino
Inclusions day 5: Breakfast, accommodation at the guest house in Matino, car rental, access to the private beach at Torre Suda, dinner at Foscolo (excluding beverages).
Day 6 – Your rental car will be collected in Matino. After breakfast at the guest house, you will be transferred to Bari or Brindisi airport and board your flight home. Arrivederci Puglia!
