  • Arrival in Beaune, day at your leisure.

    Enjoy Beaune’s amazing restaurants, casual or gourmet, where you can try the incredible Burgundy specialties: escargots de Bourgogne, boeuf bourguignon, oeufs en meurette. (poached eggs served in a sauce made a reduced Burgundy red wine), coq au vin, fromages (cheeses)..

    Ideally located, the hotel is in the very heart of historic Burgundy, just a stone’s throw from the center of Beaune. The Hotel is two minutes walking distance from the famous Hospice de Beaune and its magnificent cathedral Notre Dame.   • Château du Clos de Vougeot and Côte de Nuits.

    09.00AM: Pick up at Beaune Tourist Office.
    Transfer to Chateau du Clos de Vougeot.

    Picturesque drive through villages along the road of the Grands Crus: Fixin, Gevrey Chambertin, and Chambolle-Musigny.

    Guided tour of the Château du Clos de Vougeot

    Founded in 1098 by monks of the abbey of Cîteaux, the vineyard of Clos de Vougeot Grand cru covers more than 50 hectares. Today, it is owned by more than 80 owners. This Grand cru is one of the most prestigious wine from Burgundy. The castle welcomes now the “chapitres” (dinners) of the emblematic Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin (the Brotherhood of the Knights of Tastevin).

    The family has been established in Gevrey Chambertin since 1850. Their estate being on the best “terroir”. they family produces wine in 7 Grands Crus appellation as prestigious as Clos Vougeot, Musigny, Latricière Chambertin…as well as 4 famous 1er Cru of Gevrey Chambertin.

    3.30 pm: Tour and wine tasting in a domain in Nuits-Saint-Georges or in the Haute-Côte de Beaune.

  • Beaune, Côte de Beaune and Meursault.

    Guided tour of the Hospices de Beaune and vineyards of the Côtes de Beaune, local lunch in a winery and afternoon tasting in Meursault. 09.50AM hotel pick up.

    Typical example of Burgundy flamboyant gothic style, this former hospital founded in 1443 by the chancellor Nicolas Rolin and his wife Guigone de Salins is the testimony of the Flemish influence on the duchy of Burgundy. As far as architecture, it is worldwide famous for its colorful polychromatic glazed tile roofs. The Last Judgment triptych painting by Flemish painter Rogier Van Der Weyden is the highlight of the visit. You will tour the Salle des Pôvres (where the sick ones were looked after), the kitchens, the pharmacy and other rooms exhibiting artifacts and tapestries.

    Around 11.15, transfer to a local domain.
    Picturesque drive through the famous villages of Pommard, Volnay, Meursault and the Château de Rochepot.

    12.30 Tour and wine tasting lunch at a local domain: Prosper Maufoux in Santenay.

    Founded in 1860, our house situated on Santenay’s main square is home to superb vaulted cellars constructed over two levels, the oldest of which dates back to the 15th Century. It is in this context that we have the pleasure of showing you our jewels from the Côte de Beaune and the Côte de Nuits.

    Transfer to Meursault.

    Driving through the vineyards and photo stop in the famous Grands Crus Bâtard-Montrachet, Chevalier Montrachet, Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet, and Montrachet.

    3.30pm Tour and wine tasting at domain in Meursault.

    In 1848, Jean Ropiteau who was 24 founded his own wine house. The railway had just arrived in Meursault and Jean had the intuition that it would help make the fame of Burgundian wines. The name Ropiteau soon became synonymous to great white Burgundy wines. The cellars date back to the 15th century and are among the most prestigious in Burgundy.

  • Reims Heritage & Grandes Maisons de Champagne.

     Sightseeing of the Grandes Maisons de Champagne in Reims, guided of Reims Catherdal, tour and Champagne tasting at Mumm, Champagne tasting lunch, tour and tasting at family estate in the Montagne de Reims vineyard.

    You start your day with a sightseeing of Reims.

    City of coronation, Reims is also the city of Champagne, definitely the most celebrated and festive of wines! You will enjoy the sight of the Reims Grandes Maisons de Champagne: Veuve Cliquot, Taittinger, Pommery, etc., many names that will make you think of a great party or a romantic dinner with a glass of champagne… And you are going to have more than one!

    Guided tour and tasting at world famous Grande Maison de Champagne Veuve Cliquot.

    House founded in 1772 by Philippe Clicquot and his widow Barbe Nicole Clicquot Ponsardin. For a while, take a dip into the heart of this House, its heritage, its savoir-faire. And discover the making-process of its cuvées.

    We will introduce you to local specialties which will be assorted with three sorts of Champagne (Blanc de blancs, Blanc de noirs and Rosé) of the main terroirs of the Champagne region like: Montagne de Reims, Vallée de la Marne and Côte des Blanc.

    Guided tour of the Cathedral of Reims.

    Listed in the Unesco World Heritage, 13th century Notre-Dame de Reims Cathedral is one of Europe’s most important Gothic structures. Let you be captivated by the unique stained glasses and the exceptionally rich statuary – over 2 300 statues among which the famous Smiling Angel. It is here that King Clovis was baptized around year 498 giving birth to the Kingdom of the Franks and starting a long lasting tradition: except two, all of the Kings of France would be crowned here!

    After lunch, we take you to the Montagne de Reims vineyards.

    9 of the 17 grand cru villages in the whole of Champagne region lay on and around the Montagne de Reims. Here, the special terroir gives Champagne much of its character.

  • Epernay, Avenue de Champagne & Scenic route.

     Vineyards of the Cote des Blancs and Grands Crus Villages, tour and Champagne tasting at Moët & Chandon, Avenue de Champagne in Epernay, Champagne tasting lunch, tour and Champagne tasting at a family wine makerand Dom Perignon’s tomb in Hautvillers.

    Pick up: 09:00AM Reims Tourist Office at the Central train station.

    The tour begins with Scenic Route des Champagnes.

    It meanders among the vineyards and picturesque villages, offering a charming bucolic landscape. We take you to the C ôte des Blancs for a sightseeing of some of the most famous Grandes Maisons de Champagne such as: Bollinger, Gosset, Deutz, etc. En route the countryside is enamelled with beautiful Grand Cru villages like Ay, Hautvillers, Bouzy, Le Mesnil, Vernezay, etc.

    Tour and tasting at world famous Grande Maison de Champagne Moët & Chandon.

    Founded in 1743 by Claude Möet it becomes within 40 year the first international brand in the world. Its history is linked to some famous figures such as The Marquise de Pompadour and Napoleon 1st. This Champagne is also sold to many important historical events among which King Edwards VII’s coronation, Cannes Film Festival, the 120th anniversary of the Liberty Statue, etc…It is probably nowadays the most famous Champagne brand around the world.

    Stroll along the Avenue de Champagne in Epernay.

    Located in the heart of town, Epernay is internationally known as the “Capital of Champagne”. Epernay ’s stunning main street appears like an exhibition of opulent mansions housing the most illustrious Maisons de Champagne: Moët & Chandon, Perrier-Jouet, Mercier, etc. Not to mention the 100km of tunnels under the pavement!

    Lunch and Champagne tasting at either a winery or a Champagne bar.

    We will introduce you to local specialties which will be assorted with three sorts of Champagne (Blanc de blancs, Blanc de noirs and Rosé) of the main terroirs of the Champagne region like: Montagne de Reims, Vallée de la Marne and Côte des Blanc.

    Drive to the Marne Valley on a journey through the vineyard to meet with another prestigious figure: Dom Pérignon who finalized the process to elaborate Champagne. He highly contributed to the fame of Champagne and is now buried in the church of the former Benedictine Abbey of Hautvillers.
    On the way back to Epernay you will enjoy the discovery of another face of Champagne: tour and Champagne tasting at a family estate.
